Really loud noise when Ariston Magherita 2003 is in spin mode?

We have a Ariston Washing Machine that when its in spin mode it sounds like its about to take off & making a really loud noise, can you help me please.
Try taking the Dispenser compartment out and see if there is anything stuck in the hole where the water goes. If nothing visible, try taking the top off (2 self tapping screws at the back) and locate the rubber tube from the dispenser and follow it where it connects into the drum (on the front left hand side of the machine looking from the front). Pull the rubber tube out (where it connects into the drum..its a little tight for space) and see if there is anything stuck in there. I had a similar problem and found a sock and pair of knickers had been shoved in there. They have been shredded to bits !
