removing the crank pulley to remove to water pump on corsa x14xe engine?
I have been unable to remove the crank pulley to change the water pump. I put the car in first gear, had all 4 wheels on the ground but was unale to remove it.
Anyone have any ideas?
put handbrake on,put into 5th gear, jack up front of car and place on axle stands ,apply foot brake firmly and hold.you can access pulley from wheel arch to remove centre bolt.

First try 5th gear (get someone pressing brake).
If still no success try to lock flywheel with flat screwdriver between starter ring gear & clutch housing. You may need to remove starter motor.
