How can I get my remote central locking on my Citreon Zsara to work?

I have a 2002 citreon Zsara and ever since my battery went flat I cannot get my remote locking to work. I am told that this is a common yet complex problem on Zsaras of this age, who incidently couldn,t fix it either. Does anybody know how to get it working again

If I use the key fob the central locking tries to lock then unlocks again as though a door is open (Even though all the doors are fully closed). I have found that if I insert my key into the drivers side lock and turn clockwise fully (As if unlocking the car) Then fully anti-clockwise, the central locking completely locks the car. Again, even if I just turn the lock fully clockwise, then try the key fob it also fully locks the car.

If you mean the key fob battery, insert it in the ignition lock, switch the ignition on and press the key fob switch for two seconds. It should reinitilise the key fob memory and all should then work ok. If the car battery was completely flat, when it was reconnected it SHOULD then work ok, UNLESS you boost charged it in situ with the leads connected in which case you may very well have damaged the circutry of the central locking control mechanism. They are NOT cheap, but a Citroen garage can test that for you on the diagnostic socket.
