I need to get a new boiler, but how should I choose my plumber?

I need a new boiler... I've got an idea of what I want, but don't really know how to go about choosing a plumbing firm/person to fit it for me. I know they need to be gas safe, and all that, but what should I do to make sure I get a reliable professional to do the job, and offer proper aftersales service...?

A good way to get a good plumber is to ask people someone you know to recommend someone, if not go down to your local plumbing merchant and ask them as they deal with plumbers alot and would imagine they know who can do a good job better than just picking someone out of the yellow pages at random.
