how do i use the child lock?

I just bought a 2002 plate nissan primera and i can't work out how to apply the child lock on the back doors?

open door and look on the inside edge and next to the door lock you should see a slot were you insert the tip of the key or flat screw driver. turn it a half turn and that should be lock activated
