Honda GX100, petrol leaking from where carb meets head?

Hi
I have a 2007 Belle wacker plate with a Honda GX100 engine.
The problem i have is that petrol runs from where the carb meets the head. I have checked the gasket and it looks fine. I was going to change it, but thought i would ask here first. Should petrol run from the carb like this. I thought it would be sprayed?
Could the float be getting stuck as i have not used this for about 6 months?
I have tried tapping the carb to see if that helps, but it does not.
Anyone help?
Cheers
