"disconnect the battery negative terminal and wait 20 minutes so you don't set off an airbag by accident (make sure you have the radio code). Then check the connectors and wiring under the seats carefully for any problems. Any connectors can then by cleaned up with wire wool etc to remove corrosion, spray with WD40, reconnect and apply a little Vaseline to protect from further problems. Reconnect the battery, enter the radio code and reset the windows. Let the engine idle on restarting until up to temperature, rev to 2k for a minute or two then go for a mixed speed drive so the ECU relearns your driving habits"
Disclaimer: I have not tried this myself though I am experiencing the same problem intermittently.
