after downloading an mp3 file from legalsounds.com i closed the downloader program and my desktop icons disappeared and now all program files say they are empty. how can i recover all files.

Hi,

Switch computer on and keep tapping F8. Choose option for Safe mode and option for windows xp after that. once loaded into safe mode version of windows, got to Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>System Restore, and follow instructions to take the laptop back to an early date. Failing this, backup files onto a pen drive via safe mode and run recovery via the cds or via F10. See www.pcservicecall.co.uk for more helps and tips
