clicking sound from rollers on speedfight?

iv got a peugeot speedfight 100cc and when i start it up the rollers make a clicking sound please could you tell me what this is iv checked the rollers and there ok not shaped like a fifty pence but i was loosing power when i set of from a stop the bike would bearly move then the power just kicked in. got a new drive belt and clutch on it as well.

the variator is not moving properly and the noise you can hear is the rollers being shook about in the open space,make sure all the variator components are free and it moves easily, grease them up and make sure the big spacer in the middle of it can move ok in the 2nd variator half.

ihi if i changed my origanal variator on my speedfight 100cc for a difarant one would it still work
