My battery went dead on my Renault Senic Megane 05. The earth wire on it was loose and drained the battery. Nothing was working on the car not the central locking, lights or dash. A friend gave me a jump with leads and power went back into the car ie central locking worked, lights came on so did the dash, but when i put the key card into start the car nothing happens the car will not start. When i press the start button i can feel the steering wheel lock release but the car wont turn on??

i would check the main battery fuse on the positive side of the battery. its the black one in the middle. they are very bad for blown. you can check it with a multimeter or just get a new one and try. most likely it will be that. i have worked with renaults for 10 years so i know the common problems.
