The fan heater on my Rover 45 (2002) does not work on settings i or ii!?

I have seen previous comments about faulty heaters but not full correspondence. Do I need a resistor and if so how do I fit it? Can anyone help me please?

the problem is caused by a resistor breaking and is a common fault. the unit is behind the glove box. if you go on a website rezpax.com they do better replacement resistors which you can fit or they will fit them for you.

it will be your heater resister at fault it will be located around the heater motor area
