Why does my corsa slip out of gear and seem to struggle to select gears.

i was driving home from work, when i slowed down to take a corner when the gear stick was just moving around and not going into any gear.i then managed to get it into a gear,but then it lost power and i had to pull over

Did you sort the gearbox? My wifes automatic Corsa is having the same problem.

unable to select gears ,check the clutch cable is correctly adjusted.adjuster is at gearbox end of cable.measurements are different depending on model.may be a worn or contaminated clutch.slipping out of gear,look at gear linkage,it comes out of bulkhead behind engine and is connected to gearbox.look to see if its worn or loose.if loose there is a lining up procedure which needs to be followed.
