I have the Natuzzi replacement cable in my possession but agree with Royce that the installation is prohibitively difficult (requires dismatling the sofa). I will try Royces approach with a bike cable: using a bicycle brake cable with a fitting to suit the Natuzzi 'D' handle, threaded it through the existing outer cable guide and used a bicycle cable bolt on the 'bottom fitting'.

Natuzzi have the cables but have been unable to supply fitting instructions. Seemed a complex job to replace the cable and guide, so I purchased a bicycle brake cable with a fitting to suit the Natuzzi 'D' handle, threaded it through the existing outer cable guide and used a bicycle cable bolt on the 'bottom fitting'. Only requires a re-drilling of the existing hole to suit the new bolt.

Total cost approx $15 AUD and about 20 mins.
