Zanussi Condensor Dryer TC484w - where is the thermostat?

I have replaced the broken drum belt but now the dryer does not appear to be heating up. I do not know the history of this machine and so do not know whether or not it heated up before. I assumed it did and that the snapped belt was the problem.

I would be most grateful if anyone can tell me where to find the thermostat. I have the drum out, but there is no sign of it, or wires going to it.

I took the heater off. The thermostats appeared to be solid and not squeezable - and, in this case, are not open-circuit.

I read a post that suggested that there might be a stat in the ducting. Any ideas about this?

Ah, thank you, somehow I managed to miss your answer before I posted. I didn't see anything like that but then I wasn't looking for it. I will take it apart again and see if I can press anything!

Ah, just found one, inside the door/drum at the top. There appear to be two more on the heating element case. None of these appears to be open circuit.

That probably leaves one more thermostat - or something else that I have missed - and which is causing the no-heat problem.

Your help would be appreciated.

Take the back shaped panel off to expose the element.undo the screws that hold the element and look on the back.if your lucky there will be a reset stat that you can press
