How to disable the Brake Wear Warning Alarm In a Citroen C5?

Hi, The brake wear warning keeps going off in my son's Citroen C5 and is very irritating. He wants to disable till he gets the pads changed. Can anyone help please?

Just cut the wire coming out of the brake caliper(usually left hand side wheel)and tell your son how much you love him.

the warning is there to tell you to change the pads, the expense of approx. £15 its not worth it, dont tamper with safety.
