How do I fix my AEG Favorit 445i dishwasher?

My Favorit 445i dishwasher is malfunctioning in that the sequence indicator knob stops during the final rinse stage – despite there being lots of clicks. If I index the knob a little bit – either once or twice – it finished the complete cycle ok.

Any ideas?

there is a float switch in the base of the machine which when tripped causes program to stop and drain continuosly

could be a faulty timer or even a partial blockage.check for blockages in the airbreak chamber/sump area
