How do I clean halogen hob ?

Hi.I was making custard and spilt sugar onto the halogen hob.It has left marks where the sugar crystalised and I can't get it off. Any suggestions? Its a beaumatic hob

A popular oven cleaner, advertised as "the one with the bag" has a very good cleaning solution with the bag. I spread it on my halogen hob, left it to soften the stains and rinsed it off later. Follow manufacturers instuctions carefully, as the solution is harmful.
