hi could some1 plz help me i go my son a mini quad 4 xmas brand new every time we use it after about 20mins it cuts out and wont start again i took plug out and cleaned it and replace fuel filter wiv a clear squre1 and it started by after 10mins it cuts out and wont start again i then replaced coil and change the lead 4 a push on 1 and recleaned the plug and it started but after 10mins it stop again plz could some1 help since xmas my sons on had about 20mins ov riding and im ready to throw it out the window its a rebo 49cc mini atv thats wot the manual says if thats any help many thanks

I have just got a mini quad bike and I don't know how to start I don't know what the pieces on the quad are called so can u guys please. Tell me what I need to move and what the thing looks like cheers I would really appreciate it !!!!

also try running it with the fuel cap loose in case its building up a vaccum in the fuel tank and the fuel is not flowing freely.

mike may be right with his diagnosis it could well be the valve clearances tightening up set them to .05 on the inlet and .08 on the exhaust.also i would check the spark while it has cut out as it could also be the primary ignition coil seperating inside as it expands through heat and then working as it cools again.when it cuts out next time take the plug out and push the ht cap back on it and lean it on the cylinder head and see if the plug sparks blue when the quad is kicked over.

Is it one of those off-brand quads? If so, no offense but they are junk. If it has what appears to be a motor that looks like a 1970-1975 Honda engine (Google ehat they look like) it is a Chinese knock off and built to very poor specs. Since it is new and running poorly try this. Sounds like when it warms up it loses compression. Take the spark plug out and cover the hole with your finger or thumb they attempt to start. It should pop your finger off the hole pretty good. Then ride it and right when it dies take out plug and do again. It'll be a little hot but you should be fine for a quick second. My bet is it won't push your finger away at all. If this is correct you need to adjust the valves. Simple procedure with a feeler gauge. Google 1970 honda 50 valve adjustment procedure if everything I said is correct and good luck.
