Derbi senda , no fuel coming through the pipes from the tank to the carb?

I have a derbi senda and for some reason i can not get it to start. now i have taken the carb to a bike shop and had it all cleaned out and thats fine, but theres no fuel dribiling through the pipe in to the carb, why would it do this ???

I know this is a really old thread but i had this problem
i took the vacuum and fuel lines of and sucked on the vacuum hose to see if fuel would flow out of the fuel hose but non did, I then proceeded to remove the fuel tap from the tank and rinse the tank with some fuel
I then checked that both of the wire connections in the tap where ok as i thought that maybe if the circuit was broken it may prevent fuel from flowing, I then replaced the tap/filter and and sucked sucked again this time fuel flowed I also soldered the little end piece that connects to the carb into place and melted the plastic hose onto both end attachments to make sure the connections where air tight, and heyyy presto It worked 5-6 kick

a common problem water in the fuel will make the bike run lean, did you fill up at tesc -0 by any chance?do want to get sued so i wrote it like that.

i think i found the problem, i filled up petrol at a crap petrol station, and i think there is water in the petrol, so ill drain the carb and fuel tank and put some more petrol in, see how it goes.

it might have fouled the spark plug up if you left it to idle, i would put a new one in it for the sake of £3.00.ok glad you got it to go anyway.

Yeah thats working any ideas whats happening? after cleaning all the carb up i kiked it over and after about 4 - 5 kicks after the carb filled up with fuel, it went. so i reved it for a bit and started puting the plasticks back on, litrally it idled for about 4 miniutes, then just cut out and wont run again ??

im sure the fuel tap is vaccum operated so there should be two pipes coming from it ,the bottom one is the vaccum one and the top one is the fuel pipe,it will only allow fuel to flow when the engine is running and pulling a vaccum on the diapragm in the tap which unblocks the hole that the fuel flows through. put a bit of pipe on the bottom of the fuel tap and suck it and see if fuel comes out of the top pipe.
