how can i replace it?

the thermostat in my car{vauxhall astra m3} has stopped working, were is it and how big of a job is it to replace it.

sorry mate the thermostat would be situated on the water pump.

look round on the rad. it will have 2 spade connections on it. it's just like a bolt. just pull off the connections and screw out. then reverse job to re-fit. straight forward job then just run engine and keep an eye on the temp and wait for fan to kick in to let you know thermostat is working correctly.
