Open the bonnet. On the left hand side is a black plastic unit, screwed to the inner wing, with a (from memory) orange rubber button on top.
Presss the button.
If this does not fix the problem, unscrew the unit and unplug it from the connecting wire. Turn the unit upside down (you will probably hear something like a ball rolling about inside) and give it a single sharp shake, which should reseat the ball and you will no longer hear it rolling about.
If this works you can plug the wire back in and screw the unit back in place.
If this does not fix the problem, consult a mechanic or dealer.
NB The text message on your dash should dissapear as soon as you fix the switch, the warning light above the text will reset itself some time later.
