when ignition is turned on the fuel pump is supposed to run ( you are supposed to hear this ) but no noise is heard and engine will not start is this an easy fix thanks

you will only hear it if the fuel system is not pressurised already,just try getting an atomising pump spray and pumping a bit of atomised fuel into the air filter while its turning over and see if it strts up if it does then there is a problem with the fuel system ,maybe the fuel pump or pump relay is faulty or the injector is loose on the head.
