Starts and stops?

I have a smart drive Fisher & Paykel washing machine. When I start the wash cycle it goes on for about 3 seconds and then stops. It repeats this process a few more times (30 seconds) and then beeps continuously and then switches off. This process happens on every stage of the cycle i.e wash, rinse, spin

There are a number of threads on this (or very similar) problem. In another one it was suggested that the out of balance sensor switch had corroded and is the problem. This provided the clue I needed. The switch was OK but the connectors to the switch had the green gunk on it that you get from copper corroding. The moist area there causes grief. I just cleaned the connectors reassembled and it has been fine for a few months now. It is covered by the controller board but very easy to get at.

Hey, My Smartdrive is doing the same thing. Have you fixed yours? If you did, can you let me know what was wrong please. devanshi6@hotmail.com Thanks

It sounds like you may have a bad rps sensor, wire harness or main controller. Look inside your cabinet for tech data on what the beeps stand and troubleshooting matrix. good luck.
