automatic transmission of mitsubishi galant 1989?

my car runs smooth approximately for 5 min then the automatic transmission will suddenly turn to freewheeling i found out that the valveshifter dont have a volt supply, i also found out that ill just turn my engine off and disconbect the battery and put it back turn the engine on and wholla my car will move again for another 5 min.do u think it is the compushift is the problem?

If you lose all drive after 5 minutes including reverse then the filter is clogged with debris from failed/worn part/s. If it goes 1-2-3, then freewheels, then it is the end clutch that is shot. You mention the computer. Unplug harness that goes to front of box 4 wires. this will give you 3rd -no solenoids working.
