Car won't start after reprograming key fob?

I got a new keyfob for my 2002 ford focus. Reprogramed the key, worked a treat but then the car would not start any ideas?!

in your remote there is a glass chip you should have taken out of old remote to put in new remote hope you still have it or will require reprogramming with a computer hope this helps
