oil light keeps flashing and the word stop flashes up on dashboard,and it just keeps beeping at me, checked oil and brake oil but all ok, what is going on

most proberly a faulty oil pressure switch as i dont no the make of car it will be on the side of the engine block or on the oil filter housing.
