i have a 53 mondeo and its started to pop the boot when you turn on the engine , when you unlock the car the boot stays shut then when you get in and start the engine the boot pops open then you have to get back out of the car to close the boot ,ive tried a few thing but they dont work the only thing that stops he boot opening is locking all doors from the inside befor you start the engine , i cant do this forever has anyone experianced this befor thanks .

Hi Donna, My 2002 mondeo used to do that after heavy rain, I never found a solution for it as it just stopped, I could only open the boot with the remote fob after it stopped opening by itself though.. I was looking on a mondeo form and they say it is the boot lid switch above the rear licence plate.
