How do you remove sliding door step on a sprinter van - 313?

The step behind the side sliding door needs to be removed but I do not know how to do it.

Hi
I sympathise with you on this one, as i also need to remove the step to replace the roller on the door closure arm. There are some square type nuts underneath as well as a cap to the left of the step.
