Temporary fix is to use "SteelSeal" i have used itand it has lasted 3000 miles. Price about £30 for a bottle.
Simple to install. contact Steelseal .co.uk for more info.

i was putting oil in my 45 engine and accidentally spilt some of it. When i turned on the engine i saw smoke coming out. What do i do?

myself personaly would say no . this is a common problem with rover as the head is alloy and warps when overheated it will need reskimming and then a new gasket. to be honest i think that price is a bit expensive i had 1 done last year and it cost £250 so if u want it doing i would shop around for a better price .good look
