this can also cure it....
just found another remedy for the problem , under the drivers seat,by the runner,is an electrical connection..just make sure it is frimly snapped together as constant moving of the seat causes it to work slightly loose and make the warning light come on.

I have a 55 Almera sve UK, The light just stays on, it doesnt go off for me to do the ignition reset. I connected snap-on Modis and altek diagnostic but still cant sort it. any ideas?????

Switch ignition on..when ever airbag light goes off turn ignition off for 4 seconds then turn back on...repeat this a further 3times....after 4th time turn ignition on for 1second then off and start engine..airbag light should be reset..trust me it does work i have loose wire under my driver seat...im always resetting my light.
