very noisy acceleration?

my galaxy 2001 ghia, makes over acceleration noise when go over 2000rpm but it does not move any faster, finding it diffecult when trying to move faster,specially on uphill,

Has it got an automatic gearbox if yes then Your automatic transmission oil may be low.
If it is a manual gearbox your clutch is slipping or worn out.
