detergent tablets will not dissolve in drawer?

The detergent tablets get wet and remain in a mess in the drawer - they do not dissolve.

This sounds silly but when you fill your dishwasher up with plates etc, check to see if the spinner turns full and that it is not catching and sticking on a plate or something. Had this problem myself and it was these new square plates I was using and they were too big and caused the arm not to spin properly messing with the cycle and not releasing the tablets.

detergent tablets are better put in a small net bag then thrown in with the washing, they are then in contact with the water all the time
washing powder or liquid can also be placed in a plastic ball and thrown in with the washing providing no pre-wash program is required,

clean the spray holes above the soap inlet draw maybe partly blocked with mould misdirecting the water pattern

I see no-one has responded - I have noticed the same problem myself recently and changed to powder - same problem - checked incoming cold water supply filter - clear - adjusted mains water pressure - still the same - cannot wait for a response from someone who knows - probably change to liquid if no answer is posted
