The water container at the top of the machine hasn't collected water in a long time. The machine just vents a lot of steam into the room instead. (We can't place it against an outside wall to vent through a tube.) The condensing unit at the bottom of the machine needs frequent cleaning. Are the two problems related? What should I do?
My dryer flashes the door light, when i press the button to start the programme, and consequently wont work, I have checked the door is closed properly, also cleaned the condenser, door filter and emptied the water tank.

Everything on the dryer works except it doesn't heat up anymore. I have cleaned the filters/condensor etc but no joy. Any idea what I else I need to do? Thanks

if the drain pump fails then the machine will stop after a fer moments drying as the internal sump (at bottom of the maching gets is of course full)
however replacing the drain pump is actually not that difficult, but remember to clean the resovoir full sensor when you do otherwise the cycle will not work due to a false signal after the resovoir has been cleared
I found that if you get the issue above if you haven't inserted the condenser properly, (not making a good seal to the downflow).....

are the filters in the door area split.this can allow fluff to get in to the condensor although cleaning the condensor is something you have to do and must be clean and able too look through without obstructions.flushing them through with a high pressure hose is the best way to clean them.if water doesn't go in to the bottle you could have an issue with the drain pump which will cause loads of condensation issues
