self propel doesn't have enough traction?

I have a 6.5HP scott front wheel self propel lawn mower. Lately it is very difficult to push with the self propel on. When lifting the front wheel, it actualy spins when engin on meaning the self propel still somewhat working. Any idea How I can fix this.

Thanks.

I'm not familier with scott.
However, if it's like most front drive mowers the wheels may be geared on the inside. If the plastic teeth in the wheels has started to strip it will cause the problem your describing. If that is the problem replace the wheels.
