Need help fixing my Optima XM6 alarm system?

Recently had a power cut in my area therefore was without electricity for 1.5 days. During the second day of the powercut my box outside started alarming with the blue light flashing, as the battery must have started to run out the noise got less eventually died out but the blue light remains flashing. On my optima box where it says zones 1-4, zones 2 and 3 are red and where it says Power the square is red also. When i press the reset button or any of the other buttons nothing happens. Since the electricity is back on my box outside the house just keeps flashing blue. Any ideas on how to regain control of my alram so i can stop the blue light flashing and actually set my alarm on?

Manys thanks for any help provided

hi trek you have an alarm that doesnt like power cuts to reset it you will have to take the cover off the alarm panel but before you do turn the power off going to the alarm panel, and open it up and disconect the battery the alarm should go off but dont worry waite a few seconds and reconect the battery and the alarm should then work on you old code put the cover back on and press reset and turn the power back on and all should work as before bazzzz
