I have a 1991 Mercedes 190e Automatic. Recently, the panel lights and the lights illuminating the switches for the front and back side windows have dimmed when in use. They are not completely extinguished, just noticably dimmer. I do not think that this model has a dimmer switch, or does it? Can you suggest a remedy please?

Yes there is a dimmer switch its the same push button as the one used to reset the mileage trip - I think on lower left hand corner of the instrument cluster- twisting it clockwise/anti clockwise adjusts panel light brightness
