how do i change the oil filter on a 2004 vectra diesel?

where is the oil filter located on the vectra 2004 and how do u replace the filter

Be careful not to overtighten the replacement.
You can easily distort the housing which will allow air into the system.

the oil filter is a paper cartridge type, inside a housing on the front of the engine. if you look down from the top of the engine, towards the gearbox end of the engine, you will see a black plastic dome, with a hexagon shape moulded into the top. you can use a large socket to undo it. ( probably 32 or 34mm, but i may be wrong ) you will probably need to push some hoses to one side to get at it properly..
