REPLACING A GRILL ELEMENT IN A TRICITY MARQUIS COOKER Model No;-2587B?

The control panel is affixed to the splash plate at the back of the cooker. I have removed a screw from either side, underneath the front of the Hob, but the Hob does not hinge back. Do I have to remove all the screws holding the back of the control panel/splash plate, because the Hob is secured to it, & lift it all out, in order to gain access to the screw securing the grill element, or am I missing a simple solution?.

i would not go near the control panel. but move the cooker out in the room were i can get around the back of it , and have the power off" take the back of it off, and look under the tinfoil thats behind the back lid"OF THE COKER, just around were the grill element , is , and you should see the wires going to the power points of the grill element., their push in tipe,, and their should be two lock nuts on the end of the elements prongs, unscrew them , and replace the element. useing the locknuts on the new one , put the wires back the same way , make very sure your power if (off)
