Zanussi fx1365 not spining washer beeps?

Washer not taking fabric softener, not spinning or not full spin and the machine beeps? I believe this a common fault but is there a way to fix

check the filter and once the filter has been removed shine a torch in to the filter housing and check if anything is jammed in the drain pump impellor.check the motor brushes by removing them from the motor
