My Drayton Digistat red 'alarm' light is flashing. I have recently replaced the transmitter unit batteries so thought it might be because the two had lost connection. However, I have taken the batteries out of the transmitter, turned the boiler (and thereby the Digistat) off, back on, held down learning mode 1 and 2 and released, replaced the batteries, etc. However, the green light and red light didn't come on as they should. Can anyone tell me - do I need to replace my digistat receiver? Or both receiver and transmitter? Or can I get a different type no matter what boiler I have (I have a Valliant ecotec pro 28) - I'm hoping to get a cheaper one if I have to get one at all!! Any suggestions?

Thank you.

your thermostat has lost its communication with the boiler (dead batteries) now needs to re bonded to the boiler, this is so they can send and receive signals from one another .
you will need to find your thermostat literature then read how to re bond the transmitter and receiver when done the light WILL change from red, to a healthy green.
