Hoover models up to the 1980s are much more easier to replace bearings as access gained from rear of machine. later models have access from front but not as serviceable machines. you can usually find Hoover workshop repair books on ebay on how to service machines. The Haynes publication The Washing Machine Manual gives step by step instructions
