How do I adjust the handbrake cable on a Citroen Saxo VTR ??

Just to add - if your handbrake lever is coming all the way up, you most likely need new rear shoes/pads.

jack up rear and support on axle stands

Get under middle/back of car, remove centre heat shield for exhaust in transmission tunnel if its not already been removed.

Torque up adjuster with 13mm socket - I normally torque till i can get 4 clicks on handbrake lever, obviously checking that the rear wheels spin freely when handbrake is not applied.

Just watch the adjuster doesnt snap - give it a good coating of WD40 before attempting to torque it.... as only last night I snapped one on a 51 plate saxo - oops! lol
