driving the car i lost power then engine shut down,
been advised its the fuel pump,
expensive i know anyone have any other ideas what it could be???? fuel is getting up but pressure is not enough to fire it,
ford focus 1800 tddi only had it 3 days, and yes did put diesel in and not petrol.

same problem with my daughters 2001 Fiesta 1800 diesel.......I've been told it's the exact same engine.......cheapest part I've found so far is PD Asher in Southampton with a recon unit from £350 - £480 (plus vat).....tel (0)23 8033 3139 and ask for Ben

Other quotes were £640 + Vat from my local garage
and £1000+ from europarts!!!

Don't forget, it's also 5 hours labour
