Accenta 6 Alarm System?

I've just replaced the remote keypad which was about 12 years old. I've also had to replace the fuse for the keypad in the control panel. The problem I have is that the new keypad Accenta+ by ADE (8EP416) shows power is on but I can't set the new code. The external siren is going off and the keypad is warbling. Whatever I try to do has no effect. Any advice on how to reset the system and put a new code into the RKP. The new RKP is subtly different from the old one but both are made by ADE the original had a tamper light and the new one doesn't.

keith I don't know what you've fitted but an accenta + has four led lights on it one is marked TA = tamper.
Lets get one thing straight here the codes are not stored in the keypad they are stored in the main programmable chip in the main panel, the keypad only communicates with it.
So if you have connected the wires correctly I don't see a problem I have changed these lots of times when the buttons become worn out and stop working.

sounds like the key pad you have bought is not compatible with the endstation you have to save messing around visit yuor nearest alarm shop and see if they do seperate end stations that is compatible with your key pad
