Had my oven on and it seemed to make a squealing noise but when I got to it ,it had stopped.
Went out leaving the oven on timer but when I came in the oven was not warm atall and the inside of the oven (and the food) was covered in a fine grey dust??? Any ideas on what it could be and maybe if it is fixable?

first lets deal with squeeling noise if only makes a noise on fan cooking its the fan motor in the back of the oven if it continues after you have finished cooking its the cooling fan. next the grey dust is probably from the fan element which has blown remove panel in back of oven you will see the element if its sorface is rough its blown this could be caused by a stalled fan motor
