When driving my Renault Clio 1.2, it shuts down the engine completely causing me to have to restart the motor while the car is moving. Have replaced the coil and exhaust converter. Any ideas?

sounds like a faulty flywheel sensor. common fault. fault needs to be confirmed with diagnostic equipment of course, but sometimes the fault doesn't get 'memorised' in the ecu, so it might look like there isn't a fault at all. if so, i still replace the sensor and connector if they haven't been replaced before and in my experience it has always solved the problem (famous last words!)
