how can I fix "Intake/drain" problem with dishwasher?

My Miele GC 880 Model has a flashing light "Intake/drain" everytime I try to use it. The drain seems to be fine. The supply line to the washer supply hose is fully open. It appears that the supply to the machine is in need of repair. Can you help?

F13 means that the dishwasher isn't sensing water coming into the dishwasher. If the pressure is good from your house then you may have a bad flow meter which measures the water coming into the dishwasher. If it doesn't sense the water coming in when it's calling for it, it will pause and try again for about 2 seconds, break for 5 seconds or so and do this 3 times before it throws up an error code.

You can pull the entire unit out and remove the two side panels. On the right side there is a clear plastic water flume. Inserted into the middle of the flume is a tiny control board. This is the flow meter. Unclip it and reseat it to see if it was just loose and not detecting the water. Otherwise you will need to replace it.
