I ahve a number of houses and the alarms ahve never been used.. ?

We have a number of houses with alarms and we have never used them, therfore we have no codes. When the electric is put back on they always start to go off. How can we stop this happening with out getting an electrican out everytime.

Replace the backup batteries in the panels. Doesn't your electrician recomend this to you? You will need a code to carry out this work. Other options - call an alarm company, get systems reset / serviced / batteries changed etc
