when filled the steam comes out of the small hole at the bottom and starts making a screaming noise

Hi,
Mine did the same today 3 years old, thought it was a gonner. Problem for me was limescale. I added 200ml of white vinegar to 200ml of water flushing through a couple of times, tons of muck came out rinsed a couple of times to get rid of the smell of vinegar cleaned it up it is now working fine hope this helps
