how can i get my renault megane fuel cap to open?

my renault megane 2004cc fuel cap not opening, any help and advise would be greatful

We had same prob with ours had to keep locking and unlocking with fob until the lock in the fuel cap finally opened. I got fed up with it after a while locked doors with fuel cap open and snipped the wee bugger with a stanley when it was down. lol no prob now.

There is a manual release in the boot on the same side as the flap. Usually a black or green plastic loop you pull. Dont know precisely where on this model, you may have to pull back a flap of carpet or look in the cubby hole where the jack/triangle/first aid kit is stashed.
